4.i i. Preparation of (R)-Quinuclidin-3-yl acetate

Prerarative examrle 4 - Preraration of (R)-Quinuclidin-3-yl 2-hydroxy-2,2- d i(thiorhen-2-yl)acetatei. Preparation of (R)-Quinuclidin-3-yl acetateAcetyl chloride (2.5 mL, 4.5 eq) was added to a solution of (R) Quinuclidinol (1.0 g, leq) in CHCI3 at 0 00. The formed suspension was stirred at 25°C for 30 minutes, then the mixture of reaction was heated at 50 °C under magnetic stirring. After 30 minutes a solution formed. After adding Na2003 and H20 and subsequent separation of the phases, the aqueous phase was extracted withEtOAC (3x 15 mL) and solvent was removed at reduced pressure to yield0,95g of (R)-Quinuclidin-3-yl acetate.
