4 mmol, 1.00 equiv) inNH3(g) in MeOH (100.00 mL)was added 3-hydroxypyridine-4-carbonitrile (2.10 g, 17.484 mmol, 1.00 equiv) under nitrogen atmosphere. The mixture was hydrogenated at room temperature for 16h under hydrogen atmosphere using a hydrogen balloon, filtered through a Celite pad and concentrated under reduced pressure to afford 4-(aminomethyl)pyridin-3-ol (1.8 g, 82.93%) as a grey solid. LC-MS: M+H found: 125.
