Add 51.5g (1.05mol) of sodium cyanide to a 500ml four-necked flask with condenser and stirring, add 110g of water, and increase the temperature to 70. Add 156.6g (1.0mol) of m-methoxybenzyl chloride into the flask dropwise. The addition time is 2 hours. After the addition is completed, the temperature is increased to 75-85°C, the temperature is kept for 4 hours, and the temperature is cooled to about 50°C. The layers are separated. 136 g of m-methoxybenzyl cyanide crystals, with a product yield of 92.5%. The mother liquor of acetone is distilled and recycled. The upper cyanide water layer is collected and packed into barrels, added to the autoclave, added with appropriate amount of sodium hydroxide, heated to 130-140°C, kept for 8-10 hours, then the concentration of cyanide is detected, and cooled and discharged after reaching the standard.
