Steps:
Dibenzofuran (3.36 g, 20 mmol), NBS (3.92 g, 22 mmol), zirconium chloride (0.10 g, 0.44 mmol), and DMF (40 mL) were placed in a 100 mL Schlenk flask equipped with a stirrer and purged with argon And the mixture was stirred at 70 ° C. for 18 hours. The reaction solution was added to water (200 mL) to precipitate a solid and stirred in suspension for 30 minutes.The suspension was filtered and hot water (100 mL) at 90 ° C. was poured slowly from above the solid on the filter paper. The solid on the filter paper was recovered and then dried to obtain 4.1 g of the desired product (yield: 83%).
