Steps:
General procedure for Michael addition of compound 1a mediated by silica gel
General procedure: Silica gel 60 (63-200 μm, spherical, Nacalai Tesque, 3.8g) was added to a mixture of compound 1a(284 mg, 2.0 mmol) and methyl vinyl ketone (MVK) 2a (210 mg, 3.0mmol) in a 25mL flask at 0 °C. The mixture was stirred at 300 rpm equipped with a cap until it fully mixes. After stirring at 200 rpm at 70 °C for 24 h equipped with a Liebig condenser, EtOAc(20 mL) was added to the mixture. Silica gel was filtered and washed with EtOAc(20 mL) three times. The solution was evaporated at 40 °C and the residue was purified by column chromatography on silica gel using heptane-acetone(3: 1) as eluent to give 3a(399 mg, 94%).
