18.1 Step 1: Synthesis of 2,6,7,8-tetrahydro-1H-indeno[5,4-b]furan-8-ol (compound of formula 18-1)
The compound of formula 18-A (174 mg, 1 mmol, its synthesis method is shown in US6034239A1, 2000) was dissolved in methanol (3 mL) and tetrahydrofuran (6 mL), and cooled to 0°C in an ice water bath.Add sodium borohydride (57 mg, 1.5 mmol), stir at room temperature for 6 h, quench the reaction by adding methanol (10 mL), remove the organic solvent under reduced pressure, and concentrate.Methanol (5 mL) was added and the organic solvent was removed under reduced pressure. Repeated addition of AThe alcohol was concentrated and run 3 times to give a yellow solid, compound of formula 18-1 (176 mg, 100%).
