This protein carries a human IgG1 Fc tag at the C-terminus.
The protein has a calculated MW of 75.7 kDa. The protein migrates as 90-120 kDa under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）
細胞間粘附分子1（ICAM-1）也稱為分化簇54（CD54），是免疫球蛋白超家族的成員，是一種細胞表面糖蛋白，通常在內(nèi)皮細胞和免疫系統(tǒng)細胞上以低濃度表達。該基因編碼的蛋白質(zhì)是一種細胞間粘附分子，以低濃度持續(xù)存在于白細胞和內(nèi)皮細胞的膜中。在細胞因子刺激下，濃度大大增加。ICAM-1可由白細胞介素-1（IL-1）和腫瘤壞死因子α（TNFα）誘導，并由血管內(nèi)皮、巨噬細胞和淋巴細胞表達。ICAM-1是白細胞上發(fā)現(xiàn)的受體LFA-1（整合素）的配體。當被激活時，白細胞通過ICAM-1/LFA-1與內(nèi)皮細胞結(jié)合，然后轉(zhuǎn)移到組織中。ICAM-1與蛛網(wǎng)膜下腔出血（SAH）有關(guān)。許多研究表明，蛛網(wǎng)膜下腔出血患者的ICAM-1水平明顯高于對照組。呼吸道上皮細胞表達的ICAM-1也是鼻病毒的結(jié)合位點，鼻病毒是最常見感冒的病原體。
