Acetyl-Pepstatin is an effective inhibitor peptide of HIV-1 protease (Ki=20 nM at pH 4.7) and HIV-2 protease (Ki=5 nM at pH 4.7), with a sequence containing 5 amino acids. Acetyl-Pepstatin can inhibit the aspartate protease of Plasmodium falciparum.
