BVD 10 is a straight chain peptide composed of 9 amino acids. The C-terminal of the peptide is blocked by methyl ester. It is a highly selective NPY Y1 receptor antagonist peptide. The Ki values of Y1, Y2, Y4 and Y5 receptors are 25.7, 1420, 2403 and 7100 nM, respectively, which lack agonist activity for Y4 receptors.
