MICROWAVES Chemische Eigenschaften,Einsatz,Produktion Methoden
Definition
A form of
ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION, ranging in
wavelength from about 1 mm (where it
merges with infrared) to about 120 mm
(bordering on radio waves). Microwaves
are produced by various electronic devices
including the klyston; they are often carried
over short distances in tubes of rectangular
section called waveguides.
Spectra in the microwave region can
give information on the rotational energy
levels of certain molecules.
