Beschreibung
Dithiodi-2, 1-Ethanediyl bismethacrylate, also known as Bis(2-methacryloyl)oxyethyl disulfide (DSDMA), belongs to dithiodi-dimethacrylate monomers. It is widely used as a crosslinker for the synthesis of various polymers with special properties such as REDOX sensitivity and self-healing. DSDMA contains disulfide bonds that can be cleaved under specific conditions, so it can be used in drug delivery systems. It can also undergo mercaptan - disulfide exchange reaction, and thus react with mercaptan in the polymer to form covalent cross-linking. This property allows it to form networks and gels in polymer systems. In addition, DSDMA can be used to develop biomedical materials such as tissue-engineered scaffolds. Its ability to form stable crosslinks in biological environments makes it suitable for these applications.
