Hazard Information | Back Directory | [Description]
Fritillaria verticillata var. Thunbergii also yields this steroidal alkaloid which was originally given the formulae ClsH3302N or C19H3S02N. The base has [α]10D -10.66° (EtOH), yields a crystalline perchlorate, a platinichloride, and contains three non-phenolic hydroxyl groups. The nitrogen atom is tertiary in character. Chi and his colleagues regard the alkaloid as identical with Peimine (q.v.).
| [Uses]
