with C50H58N4O2Zn in dimethylsulfoxide-d6 at 25;Catalytic behavior;Reagent/catalyst;
Steps:
2.2. General experimental procedure for acylation of choline chloride
Zinc complex of 1,3-Bis(pyrazole)-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (2.3 mg, 0.0014 mmol), acid anhydride (0.28 mmol) and choline chloride (40 mg, 0.28 mmol) was dissolved in about 3 mL of DMSO-d6. The resulting mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. NMR analysis of the crude mixture shows the complete conversion of choline chloride. Acetyl Choline: 1H NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 2.09 (s, 3 H, -CH3), 3.17 (s, 9 H, -N(CH3)3), 3.72-3.74 (m, 2H, -CH2), 4.41 (m, 2 H, -CH2); 13C NMR (100 MHz, DMSO-d6): δ 22.3 (-CH3), 53.4 (-N(CH3)3), 58.3 (-CH2), 64.1 (-CH2) and 170.5 (-CO).
