General procedure: A solution of an aniline (1.0 mmol) in EtOAc (mL) was treated with thiophosgene (2.0 mmol) and stirred at room temperature overnight. The solvent was evaporated to remove excess of thiophosgene and the residue was extracted EtOAc-water. The organic phase was dried (MgSO₄), filtered and evaporated. The residue was purified as indicated.
