37.1 (1) Synthesis of a Benzoic Acid Derivative (Compound 73)
Into a round-bottom flask equipped with a stirring apparatus, 4.4 g (20.0 mmol) of N,N-dibutyl-m-aminophenol (Compound 72: produced by Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.), 3.2 g (20.0 mmol) of phthalic anhydride (Compound 23: produced by Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.), and 50 mL of toluene were added, and the reaction was carried out at 100° C. for 30 hours. After completion of the reaction, the crystal precipitated by cool-ing to room temperature was filtrated, and washed with ethyl acetate, and dried to obtain 3.0 g (yield: 41%) of a purple solid benzoic acid derivative (Compound 73).
