General procedure A for preparation of allyl protected substrates 1
General procedure: To a solution of the alcohol/amine (1eq.) in acetone (0.8M) was added anhydrous K2CO3 (1.2eq.) followed by allyl bromide (1.5 eq.). The mixture was heated at reflux over night. After cooling to room temperature, the reaction mixture was filtered, concentrated, redissolved in DCM (or ethylacetate), washed with 1M aq. NaOH and then dried over MgSO4 and concentrated in vacuo. Purification by column chromatography (EtOAc/hexanes) gave the title product.
