EPI-X4 is an antagonist peptide of C-X-C motif chemokine receptor 4 (CXCR4), consisting of 16 amino acids and a linear peptide with an IC50 of 8.6 μ M. EPI-X4 blocks CXCL12 mediated signaling and inhibits chemokine mediated leukemia cell migration and invasion. EPI-X4 exhibits anti-inflammatory activity in a mouse model. EPI-X4 exhibits antiviral activity against CXCR4 dependent HIV with an IC50 of 8.6 μ M.
