This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 18.3 kDa. The protein migrates as 17-19 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）

腫瘤壞死因子α（TNFα）是一種主要由單核細胞和巨噬細胞產(chǎn)生的細胞因子。它存在于滑膜細胞和組織中的巨噬細胞中。TNFα的主要作用是調(diào)節(jié)免疫細胞。TNFα能夠誘導(dǎo)細胞凋亡、誘導(dǎo)炎癥、抑制腫瘤發(fā)生和病毒復(fù)制。TNFα產(chǎn)生的失調(diào)與多種人類疾病有關(guān)，包括嚴重抑郁癥、阿爾茨海默病和癌癥。重組TNFα作為免疫刺激劑在INN tasonermin下使用。TNFα可在惡性腫瘤中異位產(chǎn)生，在引起繼發(fā)性高鈣血癥和與過量產(chǎn)生相關(guān)的癌癥中與甲狀旁腺激素相似。
