This protein carries a polyhistidine tag at the C-terminus.

The protein has a calculated MW of 70.2 kDa. The protein migrates as 70-95 kDa when calibrated against Star Ribbon Pre-stained Protein Marker under reducing (R) condition (SDS-PAGE) due to glycosylation.

背景（Background）

人表皮生長因子受體2（HER2）也稱為ERBB2，HER-2，HER-2/neu，neu，NGL，TKR1和c-erb B2，是一種在乳腺癌中具有更高侵襲性的蛋白質(zhì)。它是ErbB蛋白家族的成員，更常被稱為表皮生長因子受體家族。HER2被認(rèn)為是一種孤兒受體，EGF家族的配體都不能激活它。大約30%的乳腺癌具有HER2基因的擴(kuò)增或其蛋白產(chǎn)物的過表達(dá)。該受體在乳腺癌中的過度表達(dá)與疾病復(fù)發(fā)增加和預(yù)后不良有關(guān)。HER2似乎在發(fā)育，癌癥，神經(jīng)肌肉接頭的通訊以及細(xì)胞生長和分化的調(diào)節(jié)中發(fā)揮作用。
