Malantide is a synthetic dodecapeptide composed of phosphorylase kinases β Derived from the phosphorylation site of PKA on the subunit, it belongs to a type of alkaline peptide. Malantide is a highly specific substrate for PKA, with a Km of 15 μ M. And it showed PKI inhibition>90% substrate phosphorylation in various rat tissue extracts. Malantide is also an effective substrate for PKC, with a Km of 16 μ M.
