Description：Colistin (Polymyxin E) 是一種多肽抗生素，具有口服活性，是由一個(gè)具有較多非天然氨基酸組成的環(huán)狀多肽。Colistin 對(duì)多種革蘭氏陰性桿狀細(xì)菌(包括多重耐藥的銅綠假單胞菌、鮑曼不動(dòng)桿菌和肺炎克雷伯菌)等均有良好的抑制活性。Colistin 與腎毒性有關(guān)，可用于革蘭氏陰性菌感染的研究。在相同的摩爾濃度下，化合物鹽形式與游離形式有相同的生物活性，但鹽形式 Colistin sulfate 通常具有更好的水溶性和穩(wěn)定性。
Colistin (Polymyxin E) is a peptide antibiotic with oral activity and is a cyclic peptide composed of a large number of non natural amino acids. Colistin has good inhibitory activity against various Gram negative rod-shaped bacteria, including multidrug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter baumannii, and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Colistin is associated with nephrotoxicity and can be used for research on Gram negative bacterial infections. At the same molar concentration, the salt form and free form of the compound have the same biological activity, but the salt form Colistin sulfonate usually has better water solubility and stability.
