S-2238 is a chromogenic substrate peptide with three amino acids in its sequence, found in the natural substrate fibrinogen of thrombin α Formed after the N-end part of the chain. S-2238 has specificity for thrombin and is used for the determination of antithrombin heparin cofactor (AT-III). The AT-III analysis using S-2238 is sensitive, accurate, and easy to perform.
