Corresponding to its 498-505 residue sequence, HSV-gB2 (498-505) is a straight chain peptide composed of 8 amino acids, which can be used as a recognition epitope for H-2Kb restriction and HSV-1/2 cross reactive cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL).
