TLQP-21 is a VGF derived peptide with endocrine and exocrine characteristics. It contains 21 amino acids in its sequence and is an effective activator of complement 3a receptor 1 (C3aR1) of G protein coupled receptor. TLQP-21 activates C3aR1 to induce the increase of intracellular Ca2+. TLQP-21 is used for research on regulating nociception and other related physiological functions.
