Apelin-36 (human) is an endogenous orphan G-protein coupled receptor APJ agonist peptide with 36 amino acids in its sequence. Apelin-36 (human) has a high affinity for the human APJ receptor expressed in HEK 293 cells. Apelin-36 (human) is associated with two main biological activities: cardiovascular and metabolic. Studies have shown that Apelin-36 (human) can inhibit the entry of HIV-1 and HIV-2 into APJ expressing NP2/CD4 cells. In the synthesis of peptides, Apelin-36 (human) is condensed from 36 amino acids and contains a large amount of arginine, belonging to the category of basic peptides.
