Creatinine (NSC13123) is a breakdown product with oral activity of phosphocreatine in muscle. It exerts anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the expression of TNF-α and also demonstrates neuroprotective effects. Additionally, creatinine can reduce homocysteine levels in uremic animal models. Creatinine holds promise for research in the fields of inflammation, neuroprotection, and cardiovascular diseases[1][2][3].
