R. Grace silica gel catalyst were added. After cooling to room temperature the reaction mixture was filtered to separate the catalyst. Analysis of reaction crude by LC showed conversion of N, N' diphenyl urea to be 91 % and selectivity to N-methyl methyl carbamate to be 98 %.
