REVIEW Ciprofibrate is a fibrate drug used to lower levels of cholesterol and other lipids in the blood. It stimulates the action of lipoprotein and hepatic lipases in the blood. It also decreases the production of triglycerides by the liver. As a result of both these actions, it lowers the levels of blood lipids.
