REVIEW Desoximetasone is a synthetic topical corticosteroid, used as anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic agents. It is used for the relief of various skin conditions, including rashes, reducing redness, itching, and irritation - dermatoses, skin allergies, psoriasis. It is postulated that these proteins control the biosynthesis of potent mediators of inflammation such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes by inhibiting the release of their common precursor arachidonic acid.
