Penicillin V potassium is suitable for mild and moderate infections caused by penicillin-sensitive strains, including tonsillitis, laryngitis, scarlet fever, and erysipelas caused by streptococcus; bronchitis, otitis media, and sinusitis caused by streptococcus pneumoniae; and penicillin Skin and soft tissue infections caused by sensitive staphylococci.
