Functions:

Hydroxytyrosol is a polyphenolic compound derived from olive leaves that is rich in antioxidant and 

anti-inflammatory properties. It is widely used in skin care products and can fulfil a variety of roles, 

including the following:

1. Antioxidant effect: It can neutralise free radicals and reduce skin damage caused by oxidative stress.

    It protects the skin from UV radiation, pollutants and other environmental factors and prevents skin ageing and pigmentation.

2. Anti-inflammatory effect: Inhibits the production and release of inflammatory mediators. 

   It soothes sensitive skin, reduces redness and irritation, and promotes skin repair and regeneration.

3. Moisturising effect: It can lock the moisture in the skin, increase the water content of the skin and 

   improve the water-oil balance of the skin. It reduces dryness, roughness and flaking of the skin 

  and makes the skin softer and smoother.

4. Inhibit tyrosinase activity: Reduce the production of melanin, widely used in skin care products for 

  whitening and lightening function, effectively reduce hyperpigmentation and pigmentation, brighten

 skin tone.

5. Promote collagen synthesis: It can stimulate the synthesis of collagen in the skin and increase
