Femasartan is a novel selective AT1 receptor antagonist developed by Boryeong Pharmaceutical in South Korea that shows rapid and effective antihypertensive effects in multiple types of hypertension. In September 2010, the Korean FDAChemicalbook was approved for listing, selling more than 100 million in 13 years, and in 2013, it was listed in Russia, Mexico, and Brazil. Preclinical studies have shown that it is well tolerated and has a faster onset and better antihypertensive effect than losartan.
