Characterized as a colorless to light yellow liquid, with floral and herbaceous aromas, accompanied by the fragrance of sweet clover.

Solubility: Slightly soluble in water, with a solubility of 0.09% in water at 20 ℃ and a solubility of 0.6% in 2-octanone. Can be miscible with organic solvents such as ether and alcohol.

Purpose

GB 2760-1996 stipulates that edible spices are allowed to be used.

Used in the fields of fibers, pharmaceuticals, and spice chemicals, used as synthetic fiber oil agents, defoamers, and in the production of surfactants, as well as flotation agents for coal mines

The production method is formed by the oxidation of secondary octanol, a product of castor oil cracking.
